RATES AND FEES

Fee guidelines are set out by the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee:

$500.00 for either Guardianship or Trusteeship;

$700 for both Guardianship and Trusteeship.

Additional administration fees may apply for travel or for extra time spent on complex cases.

Medical/legal consultation fees are determined on an individual basis and are provided via an engagement of service contract.

WHAT DOES THE FEE COVER?
A variety of factors determine the total fee for a capacity assessment. Some of these include:
Time spent performing the actual assessment(s)
Time spent collecting collateral information
Complexity of the client's condition
Expenses incurred (e.g. travel)
Completion of required forms
ABILITY TO PAY
If ability to pay is a factor for you in getting a Guardianship and/or Trusteeship assessment do not hesitate to contact me as there may be alternate funding options available.
